Turmeric is the secret behind that vibrant yellow color in Indian food. It’s one of the most beloved spices in Indian cuisine, known for its earthy, warm notes and mild fragrance. It not only adds amazing flavor but also gives dishes that beautiful golden hue. Enter your email & I’ll send it to your inbox. Plus, get great new recipes from me every week! The combination is simply irresistible! The bold flavors of the Tikka Masala perfectly complement the nutty and earthy notes of the cauliflower rice, making it a hit at our dinner table every time. Turmeric Cumin Cauliflower Rice is not only a great alternative to traditional rice but also incredibly flavorful. There are many ways to make cauliflower rice at home, and once you’ve got it ‘riced,’ this is my favorite way to cook it. Sautéed with turmeric and cumin, the cauliflower takes on a bold, earthy flavor that pairs perfectly with just about any dish you make.
Ingredients
This recipe uses only six simple ingredients, all of which are listed in the printable recipe card at the bottom of the post.
Ghee - Adds a nutty flavor to cauliflower rice and is also Whole30-compliant. You can also use a neutral cooking oil or butter instead. Cumin seeds - add earthy warm flavor and depth to the dish Onion - I recommend yellow onion for this recipe but you can also add red onion Ground turmeric - adds earthy flavors and a golden hue to the dish Riced cauliflower - I recommend using fresh riced cauliflower over frozen. If you do use frozen, just cook it a bit longer to ensure all the extra moisture evaporates completely.
