Steamed Chocolate Pudding is rich, chocolatey yummy traditional pudding made for Christmas.I had already tried the steamed xmas pudding last year so made up my mind to try this this year. After taking one bite I decided if someone asks me which is ur most favorite desert I would tell this as I loved the texture so much.Though this pudding looks cakeish it is in between pudding and cake and tastes so delicious.Though the time for steaming is more it is worth the time and effort. Do try and then am sure you will thank me. Pin I tried this recipe from here and it came out super good.Few things that I changed from the original recipe are I didn’t use white flour replaced with wheat flour, reduced chocolate otherwise I followed exactly the same recipe. Expert Tips
I used whole wheat flour as you might have know if you are a regular reader here , I am avoiding store bought maida.Either I use homemade maida or wheat flour. The texture of the pudding was so moist and good that no one will find out what flour you have used. If you want chocolate sauce just for this pudding just half the quantity I have mentioned in this recipe.I planned to store so made a bit more. I used my borosil 500 ml glass bowl and the size was perfect. The only thing is that I forgot to grease the butter paper but then it didnt stick much. But grease the bowl and butter paper well for easy demoulding. Do not be a in a hurry to demould immediately you take it out after steaming.Give a good 10 mins time then demould.
