Pin Pattani Kuzhambu is an easy south indian curry made with dried yellow peas.
About Pattani Kuzhambu
Pattani Kuzhambu serves as a great sidedish for rice, roti, chapathi, pulao etc. I very rarely buy this dried variety of peas as I haven’t experimented much with it except for the basic sundal varieties. This time when I bought it for making sundal thought should give a try with gravies and this gravy base is perfect to make when you don’t want to make a elaborate sidedish.I made Chole with this same gravy base for a gettogether and it came out soo good.Do try this easy peasy curry which suits perfectly for pulao, rice or even roti. I made it for dinner along with chapathi and we all liked it a lot.Hubby even said we should try this more often instead of our usual sidedishes so yayy!! Do try this and let me know the feedback. Cook peas until soft but not too mushy. If you don’t have sambar powder replace with red chilli powder and coriander powder. You can replace dried yellow peas with dried green peas or fresh green peas or even channa.
