You can use any variety of poha as you wish but I prefer the thick variety as it is less sticky, though tastewise not much of difference. I love the thin variety for aval urundai and aval payasam. When I was puzzled of what to pack last week, this lemon poha came to my rescue and yes I agree posting here was in my mind too.

While tempering you can add peanuts too. Make sure you switch off and then add lemon juice else there are chances for the upma to become bitter. Instead of green chillies, you can add red chillies too. If you are using the thin variety of poha soak just for 2mins else it will become mushy. This upma is ideal for snack time esp for kids.
