Chocolate modak is prepared using 3 main ingredients which includes khoya,chocolate and sugar. It tastes so delicious and am sure kids will love it yes mittu loved it so much.How can anything go wrong with chocolate?!
About Chocolate Modak
Traditionally modak is made with rice flour and coconut jaggery or dal stuffing but this is a twist to your regular modak recipes. I have given 2 versions one is the chocolate modak as such and other one with the rice flour dough outer covering.Actually I liked the one with outer covering more and mittu obviously loved the chocolate modak more. I made half and half of chocolate modaks and used the other half for stuffing.Actually I loved the stuffed one and mittu loved the chocolate modaks more. This chocolate modak keeps well for 3-4 days if refrigerated. Use good quality cooking chocolate and coco powder which is the main flavour for this chocolate modak.I have used choco chips here, you can even use bar cooking chocolate.
