Besan Ladoo Ingredients

Besan Flour : Choose besan flour also known as gram flour that is fine which is recommend for this ladoo. Sugar: Traditionally white sugar is added . You can alternate sugar with cane sugar or jaggery powder but the taste varies. Ghee : Use homemade ghee for best aroma and flavour. Use fresh ghee for best taste. Nuts : I have used cashewnuts broken then fried in ghee, you can add almonds, pistachios based on your choice Cardamom, Saffron : Saffron and cardamom are the flavouring for this ladoo.

Expert Tips

Make sure you roast besan flour till raw smell leaves else it will give a raw taste to the ladoos. You can even add add 2 tablespoon roasted sooji along with besan flour to make the ladoo.It will give nice crunchiness to the ladoo. With just 1/4 cup of ghee you can form balls but the ladoo will not be moist. So while shaping I added extra 3 tablespoon to make the dough mosit and smooth. You can even add pistachios and almonds for garnishing the ladoos.
